  My name is Mariel and I'm a female. I am thirteen years old. I live in the Philippines; I am Filipino. I enjoy reading books. I used to love to read girlie books but let's just say, I'm over that already. I'm looking for more serious books, probably about things significant in life. Then feel free to recommend some to me. If you recommend some self-help book, I have one thing to say: Those books are just here to brainwash you into thinking you're okay, when you are most certainly not. They think for you. I THINK FOR MYSELF. So, now you know about me.
  
  My favorite movie as of now is V for Vendetta. It's about how V, a masked man, is trying to change London's government on November the fifth. London was under a totalitarian government where no one thought for themselves; where everyone forgot how to fend for themselves. There are only two people who I think are geniuses from movies: V [V for Vendetta] & Jigsaw [Saw I, II, III]. I love Tim Burton, I'll watch it if he directed it. I haaaaate my school. Let me explain that.
  
  The book 'The Austere Academy' by Lemony Snicket reminds me of my school: Very strict. We are held back by limits. I know places should have rules but I feel like a dog in a small cage suffocating slowly as they fly me to a country I don't even go to. A very totalitarian school, they expect us to *work* until they're satisfied. They make us work for something we don't even want to work for. That's bullshit, I tell you. You probably are thinking, Oh, this girl's emo, but I am not. I for one do not slit myself or listen to whiny music. But let me tell you something: I hate commercialism. Anything commercial just makes me want to slit myself. I hate anything with Beyoncé, Rihanna, Britney, Mandy Moore, Jessica Simpson. The list just goes on and oooon. ;~;
  
  I hate emo bands. They're a freak of nature. They just whine and whine about how no one understands them. Kind of like My Chemical Romance & Fall Out Boy. My Chemical Romance used to be a really great band with their earlier music but they just got caught up with the Big Bad World of Commercialism. Their music is dead to me. I'm more of an AlternRock/AlternPunk kind of girl. I like Kill Hannah, ACDC, Dashboard Confessional, Death Cab for Cutie & Incubus. Now, that music is GOOD. No, not good. GREAT. AMAZING. STUPENDOUS.
  
  Well, it was nice pouring my heart out in just one post. I can't open up much to my friends because I just found out that most of them are superficial bitches I am now trying to avoid. I got rid of some already. I can't open up much to my parents either, especially since, well. They're my parents. They won't get it. They think they do, but no. They don't.
